SCOTTISH EXECUTIVE SENT ITS CONDOLENCES FOR THE DEATH OF SHAIKH MAKTOUM BIN RASHID AL-MAKTOUM

The Deputy First Minister, Nicol Stephen MSP visited Dundee Al-Maktoum Institute on Monday 16 January 2006 to sign the Book of Condolence for the death of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum on behalf of the Scottish Executive. Mr Stephen presented Professor Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi, Principal and Vice Chancellor of Al-Maktoum Institute, with a formal letter from Jack McConnell MSP, the Scottish First Minister, addressed to HH Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offering on behalf of the Government and people of Scotland his most sincere condolences on the death of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
