4th April 2006

A trip to Dundee has won a holiday of a lifetime to Dubai for Lorna Drummond from Castle Huntly.

Lorna, a theatre nurse at Ninewells Hospital, was one of over 140 people who visited Al-Maktoum Institute, Blackness Road, Dundee during their recent Open Day.

All visitors were entered into a prize draw and Lorna was chosen as the lucky winner of the free return flight to Dubai, courtesy of Emirates Airline.

Lorna spotted the advert for the Open Day in the Courier and having an interest in the Arabic language she decided to go along.

Commenting on her prize she said:” I can’t believe I’ve won this. Now I’ve got the flights I’m really looking forward to planning a trip to the United Arab Emirates.”

Professor Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the Institute presented Lorna with her tickets.

Professor El-Awaisi said: “ Congratulations to Lorna on winner her prize. I hope she enjoys her trip to Dubai where I’m sure she will receive a warm welcome. I’d also like to thank Emirates Airline for their support of the Open Day.”
